Join us in this CAP’s 16th Year and enjoy the varied programme of activities we have lined up for you!

The frequency between trips is a bit variable this year to fit in with the availability of our trip Leaders! But hopefully you’ll agree that we’re once again offering a varied and action packed programme of events. There may be some alterations, for instance we hope to add a Foundation Safety and Rescue Coursewhich will be open to ALL members of the Club, but with a limited number of places on offer, Dates TBC. There will also be a programme of Social events added to the programme in due course,




Sun 05 NEW … PULBOROUGH to PALLINGHAM annual boat rally. A Public Rally so no reason why those of you WITH YOUR OWN BOAT and KIT and transport should not take part as a “Group of Friends”. Weekend 29 May 01 June .. Summer Whitewater weekend no 1. A trip with Adrian and Sarah. Whitewater paddling, but not as you know it. Sun 09 The Basingstoke Canal Join us as we explore this sleepy and pretty Canal. An easy relaxed paddle, suitable for all, gliding along the glistening waters, enjoying the reflections of trees and the local wildlife. Which stretch of Canal is still to be decided! CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!


Sun 30 River Thames, Sonning to Wargrave. A beautiful part of Berkshire, the majestic River Thames, and the smaller more intimate St Patrick’s Stream and River Loddon, finishing off paddling the tranquil Hennerton backwater! One of the nicest summer sunshine outings! CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!



Sun 07 NEW The River Adur. Ride the outgoing tide from Bramber through the rolling Sussex Downs and then eventually finish on the Beach at Shoreham. A little play-wave en route at our lunch stop, and then some time on the Beach, Kayaking and messing around in the sea. CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!

Sun 28 The River Wey. Let’s explore another section of Surrey’s River Wey. An easy paddle suitable for all levels, just enjoying life out on the water! CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!



Weekend 31 July 04 Aug .. Summer Whitewater Weekend no 2. A trip with Adrian and Sarah. More Summer Whitewater paddling in North Wales, maybe the River Dee, maybe the Tryweryn but with the sun hopefully shining. Weekend 16 18 Aug Lee Valley Weekend. Lots of varied waterborne fun. We’ll be camping on a lovely riverside “Wild camping site”. Maybe paddle at Lee Valley or be Coached and / or assessed on the challenging “Legacy Whitewater Course”. Perhaps join a CAP team for a couple of hours rafting the BIG Olympic Course, Great Fun! A moonlit barbie on Saturday evening, and then maybe a lovely flat water paddle, with some interesting drops and tunnels on the Sunday. Sun 08 The River Thames, Abbey River and Chertsey Weir. After an initial paddle along the majestic Thames we head off along the narrower twisting Jungle like water that is the Abbey River. Watch out for hippos and crocodiles as we meander thru this lovely forgotten Jungle backwater. After about two hours, we’ll pop out above Chertsey Weir where those that dare can spend some time looping & blunting on the Weir’s pour-over, whilst others look on! CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!


Sun 29 NEW Join the “Thames Invasion” thru Central London. Paddle the mighty Thames right thru Central London, possibly starting opposite Canary Wharf, paddle under all the Bridges and past all the sites and finishing somewhere beyond Vauxhall. What an experience! The Thames Barrier is closed on this day and this year it’s part of a huge NEW organised “Boating Invasion”, with most large boats banned from the River. Sat 12 . CAP’s afternoon private hire of The Nene Whitewater Course 3.45pm 5.45pm Take your first steps onto moving water on this ever so friendly man made Whitewater Course near Northampton. Two hours to play, enjoy and improve your skills! Good preparation prior to our Beginner’s trip to The Brecon Beacon’s in late October! CLICK HERE TO BOOK NOW!


Fri 25 – Mon 28 CAP’s Beginners Whitewater Weekend to the Beautiful Brecon Beacon’s. We’ll probably drive down Friday evening and then enjoy 2 – 3 days of Whitewater paddling on Brecon’s classic rivers. We all enjoyed the Brecon’s in March but with sadly no water, so we’re heading back to try and hit those lovely Rivers we had lined up for you .. Weekend Fri 29 Nov Sun 01 Dec NEW The re-scheduled “Whitewater Safety and Rescue Training Course”. Two days on Dartmoor working around a Grade 3 River learning all about Whitewater Safety and Rescue ,Qualified coaches, BCU certificates.
